Exploring Colour to tytuł wystawy Liny Peterson w Crafts Council. Lina rozpoczęła swoją przygodę z plastikiem, gdy za jego pomocą łączyła części biżuterii z różnych tworzyw. Obecnie pokrywa nim blachy i druty miedziane, tworząc graficzne formy o mocnych kolorach. Ostatnio swoje kolorystyczne badanie prowadziła nad kolorem... różowym.

Exploring Colour is the title of Lina Peterson exhibition in Crafts Council. Peterson originally started using dipped plastic in her work as a way of attaching different parts of a brooch – sometimes made from different materials – together into a wearable piece. She became interested in the plastic components themselves, and produced simple wire and Swarovski crystal brooches and earrings dipped in brightly coloured plastics. The versatility of the dipped coating provides Peterson with a range of different brooches and a good palette for using colour. Pod przezwiskiem Phlaznatch kryje się Jillian Moore, dziewczyna, która "robi w stworach". Ostatnio wykonała kilka pierścionków, mniejsze formy niż dotychczas, a wciąż pozostające w klimacie jej świata, jej barw, kształtów i faktur. Ja bym po prostu te pierścionki nosiła, są tak absurdalnie abstrakcyjne!

Under the nickname Phlaznatch hides Jillian Moore, a girl who "does in monsters". She made some rings recently, rings kept in the world of the colors, shapes and textures of her bigger, previous pieces. I would simply wear those rings, the're so ridiculously abstract!

To, co lubię najbardziej powraca po miesiącu nieobecności -- graficzne zabawy. Choć technicznie są to przedmioty proste, to urocze mimo wszystko (a może właśnie dlatego). A do tego z plastycznym dystansem, który pozornie niechlujny jest swobodny i bezpretensjonalny.

That's what I like the most -- and we're back with it after a month of my absence. Technically simple pieces that are lovely nevertheless (or maybe that's the reason). Seemingly careless are unpretentious for sure.
